Flow
2025. Bronze and Steel. Private residence, burlington, vt.
Molten bronze flows form abstract organic shapes, filling the spaces in a second floor stairway. Bronze scrap from other projects is melted in a small forge and drizzled into trails, which harden into the fixed forms that make up the final design, balancing intended shaping with the natural movement of the molten bronze.
Bobolink
2021. steel. PRIVATE COLLECTION, Richmond, VT.
The bird shapes were designed in linoleum prints, and CNC cut into the steel sheet to achieve the effect of a flock of bobolinks rising from a field. In late afternoon, the sun shines through the negative space and replicates the flock on the wall behind.
Flock Gate
2022. STEEL. PRIVATE COLLECTION, HINESBURG, VT.
The leftover sheet after the cutting of the birds for murmuration sculptures, or “drop,” is used in a double layer to create a repeating flock pattern in a pair of no-waste gate doors.
